Registration Steps

 

Login or Create an Account

  1. Already a member? Login
  2. Not a member? Please create an account on our website
    • Click on Login (top right corner) and fill in your information under  “First Time Registering?”. 
      • If you’re an adult that intends to skate on a RDSC session, ensure you check the box beside the text “I will be registering myself into programs”.
      • If you are a parent or guardian registering your child for a RDSC session or program put your information under ‘member information’ (this is the person who will receive invoices and email communication) and leave the box for “I will be registering myself into programs’ unchecked.
    • If your household consists of two parents that would both like to receive club email communications, please enter the second parent’s email address.
    • Read through the Communication Preferences and consider opting-in to the “News, Upcoming Programs, & Registration Information” to ensure you receive our email newsletters and information about future programming options. Note you can opt-out of this mailing list at any time.

 

Create a Participant Profile(s):

  1. Once you have completed creating your Member Account, create a Participant profile for EACH skater you wish to register into a RDSC program. If your skater has participated in a Skate Canada program before (at the Red Deer Skating Club, or elsewhere), they should have a Skate Canada Number assigned. If you know this number, please add it in the participant’s profile.  If you know which skating level your skater is at, please input this information under “Highest skating test/levels”. *NOTE: You will select the specific programs you’re registering your skater(s) for at a later step. 

 

Register for a Program(s):

  1. Steps for Canskate, Adult Skate, & Powerskate
    • Once you have logged in or created a new member account, click on “Registration> Register” in the main menu bar to start the registration process. Once on the Register page, click on ‘Categories’ on the left hand side and select the program you are registering you or your skater for.
    • Review the time and location of the programs offered on the right side. Click on the title of each session for more detailed information.  Once you have chosen the session(s) you wish to register for, click the blue ‘Register’ button to the right of the desired program.
    • If you have multiple skaters in your family, a small box will pop-up asking you to select the skater you wish to register.

  2. Steps for Prestar
    • Once you have logged in or created a new member account, click on “Registration> Register” in the main menu bar to start the registration process. Once on the Register page, click on ‘Categories’ on the left hand side and select the program you are registering you or your skater for.
    • Review the time and location of the programs offered on the right side. Click on the title of each session for more detailed information.  Once you have chosen the session(s) you wish to register for, click the blue ‘Register’ button to the right of the desired program.
    • If you have multiple skaters in your family, a small box will pop-up asking you to select the skater you wish to register.
    • You will then have the option to register for more programs. If you plan to skate two days per week you will need to add the second class to your cart. There will be a discount given for skating two days per week.
    • You will also have the option to either: 
      • Add Suggested Subscription- which is the buy-out option to the Volunteer Commitment, if selected it will add $100.00 to your registration.
      • Select A Volunteer Session, for which you would select your volunteer choices. Either option 1 or 2 will need to be selected to proceed.

  3. Steps for Starskate
    • Once you have logged in or created a new member account, click on “Registration> Register” in the main menu bar to start the registration process. Once on the Register page, click on ‘Categories’ on the left hand side and select the program you are registering you or your skater for.
    • Review the time and location of the programs offered on the right side. Click on the title of each session for more detailed information.  Once you have chosen the session(s) you wish to register for, click the blue ‘Register’ button to the right of the desired program.
    • If you have multiple skaters in your family, a small box will pop-up asking you to select the skater you wish to register.
    • You will then have the option to register for more classes. If you plan to skate two or more days per week you will need to add the second class to your cart and so on.
      • For Winter: You also will have the option to either: 
        • Add Suggested Subscription- which is the buy-out option to the Volunteer Commitment, if selected it will add $100.00 to your registration.
        • Select A Volunteer Session, for which you would select your volunteer choices. Either option 1 or 2 will need to be selected to proceed.

Complete registration and Check out:

  1. Steps for Canskate, Adult Skate, Powerskate, & Prestarskate
    • You will then be brought to the Registration Review page. At this point, double check the items on your invoice and make sure they are correct. Then, click on “Confirm and Register”.
    • You are almost there! You now have to click on “The Red Deer Skating Club’s Rules and Policies”. Read the policies on the pop-up window and select “Accept”. Do the same for “Skate Canada’s Helmet Use Policy”.
  2. Starskate: 
    • You will then be brought to the Registration Review page. At this point, double check the items on your invoice and make sure they are correct. Then, click on “Confirm and Register”. You will now have the option to select:         
      • For Winter: "Pay Once” or “Pay by Installments”. Choose the option you prefer. 
      • For Fall: "Pay Once" 
    • You are almost there! You now have to click on “The Red Deer Skating Club’s Rules and Policies”. Read the policies on the pop-up window and select “Accept” for each policy.         

 

Payment Options:

  1. Steps for Canskate, Adult Skate, Powerskate, & Prestarskate
    • Then select “Pay By Credit Card”.
      • When you elect to pay by credit card, you will be presented with a form to enter your credit card information. This information is captured securely and processed by Beanstream, our payment processing provider. The Red Deer Skating Club does not have access to your credit card information and nor do we store it on our database.
    • That’s it! A copy of your invoice will be sent to your email address. You can also print a copy at the time of registration. We really appreciate your involvement and support of the Red Deer Skating Club.   2. Steps for Starskate
    • You will need to select the “Pay By Credit Card”  option. If you have elected to pay by installments, then these installments will be charged to your credit card on the indicated dates.  
      • When you elect to pay by credit card, you will be presented with a form to enter your credit card information. This information is captured securely and processed by Beanstream, our payment processing provider. The Red Deer Skating Club does not have access to your credit card information and nor do we store it on our database.
  3. That’s it! A copy of your invoice will be sent to your email address. We really appreciate your involvement and support of the Red Deer Skating Club.
