Ice in Red Deer is sparse this year do to the fact that the city is down an arena while the Dawe is being renovated. All user groups have been affected and have had to sacrifice some of their ice times. The club has done the best with what is available, and we look forward to seeing everyone return to the ice as we prepare for the exciting season ahead of us!

The club is hosting a fundraiser event prior to Christmas called "The Giftmas Tree". It is a raffle for a Christmas tree covered in $750.00 worth of various gift cards such as restaurants, movie rentals, coffee houses, grocery stores, gas bars, clothing stores, home improvement stores, etc. You get the idea - it's a "money tree". Keep the gift cards for yourself, give a few away as Christmas gifts, or save them up for future birthday gifts.

Tickets are $5 each and there will only be 300 tickets printed. Draw date is December 18th, 2008 at the Christmas & Charity Skate.

The club is asking each family to purchase a minimum of one book of tickets (total $25). You have the option of keeping some or all of the tickets for yourself or re-selling the tickets to family, friends, or co-workers to get your money back. There may be additional books of tickets available if you would like more.

Books of tickets will be available for sale at the Kinsmen Arena starting Monday Nov. 10th.

Contact the club at (403)309-3486 if you have questions or comments.

It is hard to think about winter right now with the sun shinning and the green grass growing, but before we know it we will be digging out the coats and mitts for the colder season. The RDSC has already been busy planning for the winter and has its winter schedule ready. For more information click here!
